Working at Home From Business on the Internet
is NOT Easy (but very possible!)

For about 11 years now I have had a goal to live and work at home and must have tried just about everything on (and off) the internet and emptied my wallet of thousands of dollars for the experience. Course after course, download after download, different niches, online shopping malls, affiliate this – affiliate that, lotions – potions – and things from the sea…..

Along with many, I have a job which is well paid, but I hate with a passion for tying up so many hours of my life when I want to be free to do other things. I don’t want to earn a fortune – just a comfortable amount of residual income to give me freedom to do things I want to do – not what some boss says I have to do.

BUT….MANY people ARE doing well with Internet opportunities, VERY well in a lot of cases
- so what was I doing wrong?

Initially, I guess I was continually drawn in by the glowing promises of the sales pages that promised a fortune and in three months I would be able to quit my job! (Just as well I didn’t).

When the 3 months was up and I had NOT been able to quit my job – I signed up for something else, and then something else….each person having a different method or slant on a sure way to make a million… and so it went on year after year…as I filled other peoples pockets.

So now (at last) I realize that business is is just business whether on or off the internet.

Billionaire John Paul Getty said there are three things that are necessary to accumulate financial wealth (and I guess we should take heed of him):

1.   Own your own business.
2.   Offer a product or service needed by others.
3.   Have a system that allows you to duplicate yourself through others.

He said: “I would rather earn 1% of 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own.”

Most people want to take control of their financial destiny and are searching for the right vehicle to achieve financial independence.

It takes TIME, EFFORT, TRAINING, MARKETING and a little bit of MONEY!

I know I didn’t put forward any where near enough of ANY of those components.

The Internet HAS changed everything and now it is possible to create growing and paying down-lines in SOLID companies without ever having to talk to your friends and family about it. It is still young, with many more new people coming on line and having it as part of their life

There has never been a better time to get involved with Internet marketing initially as as a second source of income to supplement your job – and then replace it so you can truly live and work at home!

Are you NEW to the internet with regards to making money?

Either because you hate your job, like thousands of others..

- or you’d like more money so you have something to show for your 40 hour work week
- or because you have become a victim of the economic downturn
- or health problems …
- or what ever the reason or reasons,

you will have been blown away by the amount of information, good and bad, that’s out there.

You go from page to page, website to website reading one offer after another promising a lifestyle better than the one you have ever known.

Your mind starts to spin and you can’t decide whether to sign up to this mailing list or that free ebook or guide to making it online.

Should it be article marketing; blogging; pay-per-click; advertisement placement; mlm… the list goes on, and on…

Its a crazy place with marketers shouting for your attention with eye catching headlines, flash websites and promises of rapid wealth…

STOP Panicking and running round in circles!

Take a breath and relax.

What you really need is the support and strength of a team of like minded people to guide you and help you, train you and have a system that will in turn – eventually help your own team members to follow through to success.

People plain speaking and sincere to help you get a foothold, get a bit of confidence and a few dollars in your pocket.

At first, just enough to prove to the nay-sayers in your life that you are not wasting your time and that this can be more profitable than a few hours work in the local convenience store!

I’ve been there too.

I have not given up.

I think that finally I’ve figured out how to do it without interfering with my work or taking away too much time from my home life after working hours. I understand it will take 7 or 8 hours a week – it will take a few $10s here and there – and I do need a team leader and a team spirit to push me along. And it may take another 18 months or 2 years before I can say I am successful and FREE!

This website and blog promotes the main businesses I am sticking with and investing in – there will be good times and lean times as I build, but the message is — if you don’t quit – you can’t help but succeed. Pick a team builder – put the work in- reap the rewards.
