Is It A Pyramid Scheme?
Pyramid schemes are generally defined – and so I quote from Pyramid Scheme on Wikipedia:
“A pyramid scheme is a non sustainable, business model that involves promising participants payment, services or ideals, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme or training them to take part, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public.”
The cartoon video here made me chuckle because it is easy to align many things we take for granted in life to the concept of a ‘pyramid scheme‘ even though they are perfectly legitimate.
Look at your office environment structure. At the very top getting LOTS of money are the shareholders and the top bosses. Several widening layers of types of managers follow – and then there are all the underlings beavering away for an existence wage or salary.
The lottery systems in every country in the world – dubious? They entice lots of people to part with money for a numbers on piece of paper where only a few can benefit from the product – a large win!
So it prompted me to double check that the 3 MAIN business opportunities I am spending my hours online promoting are in fact legitimate business proposals.
